Minni Lectures

I do believe minnie lectures are effective in keeping students focused on a particular content.

After reading that the average adults attention span is 15-18 minutes, I will definately break my lectures up so they are easier to injest.

the classes i teach are digital, that is, they are all about learning digital programs. in a 4-hour class we go over an exercise (utilizing a number of new techniques) together. i always ask if they're keeping up and often circulate to make sure everyone's understanding everything; however, the class can get restless. does anyone have a suggestion as to how i can incorporate the mini lecture format without losing a great deal of content?

I find it helpful to use mini lectures then actually do the hands-on skills. That way the information is still fresh in the students minds and they can apply what we just discussed.

I agree...when i went to UOP we had alot of mini lectures & i remembered alot more information that way
