delivering course content?
what are ways to do this without making it boring?
Be super excited about the content you are presenting. I have a passion about the subject that Im teaching.
I am very excited about the material I cover in class, I tend to change my lecture by using powerpoints, and when I see the students are not focus, then I usually change up up to questions, and answers, where I allow them to ask me questions about the material, in order to show then how the material can be relevent to there course of study. Sometimes, I have mini lecture, where I allow small groups to dig into a certain topic of the day, and then have them display to the class what they have learned.
Hi Michael,
"Sell it". Be excited about the content, the field and the fact you get to teach. Change the pace of the class frequently and offer instruction through a variety of different learning preference formats. This will keep the students focused on what is going on in the class.
