Alden,
So true. This is why I can't understand instructors that just fly into class without any preparation and then wonder why the classes don't go well.

The time spent on preparing for a lecture will determine the sucess of that class, and how enjoyable the learning process will be for the students.
I have found that the internet and media has
helped to jumpstart my lectures. Sometimes I will ask if anyone has read or heard things that pertain to our subject matter.
I have found out that when you prepare your lecture you know what you are going to talk about and it makes the learning process for the student go smoothly and for those who are falling behind you can plan on how to make the course more exciting and simple for those that don't catch on as fast. This strategy works well for me.
Hi Joshua,
What has been your most effective instructional strategy? What strategy have your students responded to with the most excitement?
