Learning Styles

I try my best to incorporate at least three different learning styles each class period.

Yes, if possible each content topic should be explained in a way that each kind of learner has an opportunity to learn.

I think that this is one of those ideas that people will not generally disagree with. We should implement different learning styles in our lectures/classes.

However, the "how-do-we-incorporate-different-learning-types" question is an important one to answer. Without this the concept alone is obvious, but vague enough to offer no solutions; just criticism.

I often teach in a classroom filled with computers which often steal focus and attention away from my lectures. Also, these need to be in pretty fixed positions so I have a harder time connecting with students or doing activities for tactile or more physical learners.

Does anyone have any techniques or activity types they would use for a general ed. class in this type of setting?

All students have different learning styles. As an instructor i like to implement different learning style in my classroom so that my students can all join in the participation. This will help in the classroom learning environment when all students can participate. It will make class more fun and interesting and students will want to return to class everyday.

I think I would have to see an actual demonstration on incorporating all the different learning styles and how to effectively incorprate more than one at a time. I understand it by reading about it, but still need to see it.

I believe that learning your students learning style is very important to the learning process.
