Delivery
One must ensure we address every learning type to ensure all students are being instructed and giving the same opportunity to succeed in the class.
As instructors it is a joy when a student can apply what they have learned in the textbook to their "real lives". Part of the complete process of learning is the application of the material. When students with unique learning styles can explain in their own words what they have learned at the end of a module, I believe we are on our way to something beautiful.
Hi Christine,
You are right on with your learning preference delivery strategy. This way you are appealing to the different styles/preferences on a rotational basis and you will be able to keep the students engaged more effectively. Your 10-15 minute segments are ideal for their attention spans.
Gary
maybe not all classes address all learning styles? That could be exhausting. Could you break the class into segments that could let each learning style shine. Maybe in 10 - 15 minute segments, the length of time we pay most attention.
You are right. I think in lecture. everything taught should be delivered in at least ways. This way you are more likely to get the information to sink in. Since people has different learning styles.
