Course Preparation

It takes time to prepare for courses, but it is well worth the time and effort you put into it. It will releive lots of stress. DO IT!!!

If I know what I'm doing the next day- I can ensure all the supplies, handouts and demonstration materials are ready when I arrive rather then trying to find them during the class :)

Preparation to anything a person gets involved in will produce a quality outcome. The preparation involves the instructor selecting the materail to be covered, understanding the material and being able to covert that information into simplistic the material with everyday application examples, and orgainizing the material for presentation (what will be said, information that will be distributied through handouts/charts, and what will be placed in a media format).

Students are very observant and can interpret an instructors actions and comments. These interpretations can establish in the student's mind whether the instructor is winging it, is unprepared, or focus and prepared. Peparation is a serious matter and will reflect the instructors attiduted towards the course and towards the students.

I agreee, you will get out of the class what you put into it. Being prepared, and knowing the material will show the students you are a good instructor.

Hi Queen,
Great advice for all instructors. We need to be reminded of this ever so often when we get stressed out because we have done the preparation we needed to.
