The more variety of instructional delivery you can use the greater the engagement is going to be by your students. You have a good strategy going with your use of visual content.

That is true in most cases but what happens when you take a course and there is no visual representation ? Just as instructors we have to learn various instructional styles, we also need to know how we learn and have an alternative style as well, just in case the instructor doesn't use it.
The best way I can think of is to go with the flow, or have you tube become your best friend as alot of information on various topics is available.
I seek out resources from the publisher or I read ahead and create my own power point. I believe in visualization. I think it is another tool students can reference when studying and/or comprehending the material that is being discussed. It also give them an idea of what points are important from the lecture or specifically the chapter.
