Students learning styles varies, which means as an instructor, I must enhance my teaching that all students are gaining knowledge of the material. Versatility within a classroom is a must.
I agree, versatility is a must, because some students can catch on quicker. Some students have to hear it,see it,and apply the new knowledge in thier chosen field.when I do demonstration after the lecture most students can comprehend the subject matter.
I agree. Making adjustments according to a student's needs has allowed me move forward and now have to repeat material.
Versatility is definably a must. I try to make sure I incorporate the different aspects and break up the class time. If you only do one or two you will definitely lose some students.
I try to break it down to the simplest form, without losing the termonoly. This seems to work for me.

I find that the learning styles of students vary. I offer pretests to evaluate which students are lagging behind. This helps me refocus energy on needed areas they might not understand as well as others.
Demelece,
Good point about how to work in the different learning preference areas of students. By offering variety of instruction to students you will be able to keep their attention and help them focus on acquiring the content.
