Delivering Content
The key to delivering content effectively is to first familiarize yourself with the material to be covered, practice before hand any demonstrations to be done and vary the way the material is delivered. By doing this we can address several different learning preferences on the part of the students, maximize their attention span, and keep them engaged.
Cammie,
Good point about being able to not only talk about it you have to know about it. It is even better if you have experience in it so you can share examples of how to apply the content of the course.

Students also know when you do not know what you are talking about. You have to be prepared with the knowledge if you want them to give you credit. If you can’t show your students you know what you are talking about they will not even try to listen. So yes knowing your content is extremely important.
Cavon,
Students know when you are comfortable and confident with your material and this increases their engagement in the learning process. So we need to make sure we are well prepared and organized each and every time our class meets.

Alina,
With this approach you really do touch on the different learning preferences of students. The more variety you offer in your instruction the more opportunities the students have to connect with the material.

I agree with this. Basically knowing the material. If you have experience in what you are teaching this makes delivery all the more comfortable. Students can feel out your comfort level and they tend to be more receptive and confident in there instructor.
