Keeping Demonstrations Interesting

It's sometimes hard to keep the attention of my students in the class, especially when computers are directly involved with the lecture.

How can I keep my students interested enough that they wont be distracted by other things while on the computer.

Maria Estela,
Like the way you engaged your students and caught their interest. These are the types of activities that get them excited and moving forward in the course.

One time in my basic nursing class, I demonstrated how to do the complete head to toe assessment.I announced to them that there will be a return demo which is graded. Everybody was so focused trying to take note every word I said.

Robert,
In one sense you really can't because their minds will wonder or they will jump on a website when there is a lag in the flow of the class. I have found that by using activities and change of pace I can keep the students engaged so they don't have much time to let their fingers wonder over the keys except to complete the work that we are covering.
