Impression
I feel that the most important part of the first class is to make a positive impression. Make sure you are on time and prepared for class to start on time. This sets the pace for the class and the students are clear as to what you expect.
Adonis,
So true and so important to the learning leader role. Your students follow your lead positively or negatively.

I completely agree. The students feed off of the actions of the instructor. If the instructor is prepared and dedicated, the students are more likely to follow suit.
I feel the first impression is the most important We are to be a students role model while we have them in our class room .
Kellie,
A positive attitude spreads to others. We need to have such an attitude each time the class meets.

coming into class with a positive attitude set the tone for the day
Crystal,
This is why it is so important to be prepared and ready to go the first class meeting. By showing that you are ready for the class you are showing your students you respect them and that you want them to come to class excited about what is going to be taught.

Lacy,
Right you are about the need for a positive first impression. The first impression a student has of a new class and the instructor forms a foundation from which that student will operate throughout the course. We need to make it a good one!

I agree a first impression is everything. A student walks into class and if they see an instructor that is ready to teach and prepared will show physically what the expectations are going to be from the student.
