how to incoporate all teaching methods?
How do I incorporate all of the different teaching methods to make sure all of my students will be successful in my class?
I always plan to incorporate several different kinds of projects in any course. There is always lecture which the students are quizzed on, and lab time to work on hands-on projects. The lecture is usually broken up into both powerpoint and whiteboard sections because my students are usually very visual. And sometimes I do online searches with them on the projector. In addition I have them do group-work for a research/presentation project and a separate individual written paper as long term projects.
Mary,
What a great plan you have. I know you are going to experience good results with these strategies and that your students are going to appreciate the value they receive from the content you offer.

Thanks for the feedback. My favorite way to learn was always the case study. Since the case study was based on the truth, it was applicable and made sense. I am planning on utilizing different forms of delivery such as PP presentations, labs when appropriate for tactile learning, and mini lectures. I will learn how to make the class as interactive as possible.
Marcie,
Think back to the instructors you have had and concentrate on those that made their classes interesting. What did they do and how did they deliver the content? I think you will find that they offered instruction in a number of different ways. Take those ways and insert your content into the activities. For example case studies are great ways to get students working in small groups, do reflective thinking and problem solve. So take the case study method and put your content into the format. You will be offering instruction via this format in a number of different learning venues and engaging your students.
