Hello George,
Do you think the Dog Whisperer is teaching to the dogs style or the owners style? IF the Dog Whisperer can teach to the owners style the owner will remember the process better, feel more confident going through the process and perhaps have better follow through and a higher success rate.

Some of the dog owners probably learned what they were doing with their dogs from watching others. They wonder why it worked for that person and not them....different styles.

The same thing applies generally to instructors - we have to know what works for US so we can improve our outcome with students. we have a specific goal but we have to teach each student on their own level and of course prepare them for introduction to the pack. :-)
