all ways
and what about the student that takes a little bit in from all these methods but never really excels?
I students that I feel will never "get it" when going over test scores but every student does something right all the time and those are the areas we as instructors should help them focus on and build them up to excel.
I agree...it is hard to vary your delivery techniques depending on the class you are teaching. We are culinary instructors, and the kitchen is our classroom. We sometimes have to be very creative with our resources...the kitchen is loud, the glass windows to bright to support a multimedia presentation...so we improvise, but we generalize by combining techniques ,we give handouts, we use the Microphone, we demo everything, and when we get to our cubicles, we use the online student portals for notes or interactions.
ultimately they are successful, once they figure out the way that best works for them and focus on it
Hi Valentina- Welcome to ED 103! Yes, unfortunately sometimes despite our best efforts, we have students who will not excell. But, if they improve because of our work, we have done a good job. Best wishes- Susan
I think that a combination technique could really benefit these students!
