Learning Scenarios
With my classes I try and include different types of learning styles. I seem to have the most luck with mock scenarios for teh CJ programs. We have many trials in class and relate the topic to current events and past sensational cases. Works well...the only complaint I get is that time goes too quickly.
Tim,
I whole-heartedly agree with the approach you are taking. By including the different learning styles within you classes, you can easily bring and show your excitement and exuberance to the students. This can lead to a chain reaction of events which get them more involved, more active in class, which can lead to better retention and promote the transference of their knowledge that they acquired in the classroom.
Hi Jim - Thanks for your post to the forum. You are running a very interactive classroom - wish I could visit! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
