Different Learning Styles
I think that it is important to know the different learning styles of the students. I like the idea of assessing the students prior to class to know what style works for them.

In a trade school envirnment it is important also to help strengthen the learning modes that will experienced in the field. Manufacturers are getting better in training methods but not all modalities are supported.

Due to the fact that students have many learning styles it is important to incorporate many uses of these in the classroom. Each student should feel as though they are getting the information in a way that they can understand easily.
After viewing this I think many students can be using several different learning styles. I for one like to read-however I will also remember where the answer was in the book-sometimes I would highlight. I also can remember-but not often-where instructors were in the room and what they were talking about. I definately like the visual aspects. Since I enjoy all types it I try to include many in lectures.
