questioning
I have found that when a student is to ask me a question I also seem to gain some knowledge from the question. Being challenged by a question, tells me how motivated that student is about learning the process for the skill of their future.
You pose a great point. I believe that also disclosing how much we as teachers learn from students allows students to feel more comfortable discussing topics. I think presenting this idea while carrying this belief promotes a sense of unity and team effort!
The perfect attitude to "stumping the prof" Christine! What a great lesson you give your students when you show that you are always continuing to learn!
I love when students ask me something I don't know. I always use it as a teachable moment. If I can look it up on class I will. No time like the present to find out new information.

Yoy are exactly right.Questioning someone will alway's bring knowlege back to you.
I agree compleately. one of the thing i tell my students is to never stop learning and always ask questions. and love to tell them about thing i have recently learned. the boating industry is always progressing with technolagey and if you stand still you will be left behind
