asking questions
you should always have prepared questions to ask your students. sometimes you may not use all of them but you should have them ready.
I always have questions I want to ask in any lecture; but a lot of times new questions arrive when the discussion begins with my students. I try to combine questions with the new questions to my core lecture.
I agree this is a good rule of thumb just in case your class is shy of asking questions it creates a good way of reviewing what has taken place and determines what has been absorbed
Hi Louis - Welcome to ED 103! You are so right - asking students to apply their learning to their experience is always a winner! Best wishes for continued success - Susan
Many of my students have work experience so I frequently ask them to share a real life question they have asked their own manager and the response they received and its value.
