Students Participation
Experienced instructor should use the easiest way to make as many of his/her student to participate in class discussions.
My favorite way to do this is to ask the students to apply the information. It can be a short game, or a group activity.

When I am lecturing, along the way to see if I do get any questions on the subject and sometimes I do and then are times when I don't have any questions, or if I show a body atlas for an A & P class when it is finished I always ask my students for feed back just to see what type of understanding or what information they received from the atlas.
