Importance of questioning
It is always better to involve all students in questioning. Because by questioning, students are stimulated by recollecting the teaching material and it is more beneficial for long term rememberance.
Hi Hans, Thanks for your post to the forum. Yes, questioning is a simple but effective way to assess students immediately which can tell us whether we can move on in our instruction. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.

Questioning students after a topic has been covered the same day or the next, gives the instructor an idea of how well the students understood and retained the information.
I do agree with you, Sabina. I agree with you because you are correct in making that statement. My teaching style also consists of asking questions at various stges of my lecture in order to see if the students have grasped the aforementioned concepts. It makes no sense at all to continue lecturing on a topic if the students do not understand what went before. I am not agreeing with you because we are presently teaching at the same school and we were primary and secondary to each other on many occasions.
