student participation
This is a very effectice way to understand the level of understanding that the class has regarding the subject matter. Open discussion will allow the instructor to determine if the intended concept is received by the class.
As well as evaluating the students' level of understanding of the material presented, student participation also give the students a sense of investment in the class. If the students don't participate and are not involved, they usually don't have the same level of engagement in the class as those who are participating and involved.
During lab I assigned my students to three different groups I try not to assign students who have close relationships with other students
by having the students get into study groups you will see them engage in discussions that will help both strong and weaker students learn
