I found it really helpfully when trying to get students to post on blackboard. I never thought of trying to ask another question that the instructor has gone over.
From now on I plan on going into class with my outline as well as a few prepared questions. Great strategy

i have a tendency to use the questions for leading into new subject or content.as well as for other things.but my students look up when i ask questions because they know things are about to change
I like the idea of having a few prepared questions as my students are very quiet/reticent.
