test
I find if i review the material from the day before that will be on the test the students do much better.
I agree and it gives them more confidents regarding what is covered. No surprises
when you do a review is good but at the same time you can make the student more leasy, i notice that they don't do any review, until is the last day wich is not good because they don't have the same point of view. so they always expect to get the easy way to pas the test.not the right way
I also ovoid a formal review. Students always ask for the answers to the test and respond with "I told you everything that was on the test yesterday" in other words when we went over the curriculum. I do offer a Q&A before the test. Any questions they have I will answer and elaborate on. You are right they need to take ownership of their own education.
I dont do a review of any kind. I have found that the students respect that and are more inclined to take ownership of their education. Thats not to say I dont answer their questions I just dont do any formal review.
Reviews are great, but sometimes students expect it and that makes them less likely to study for the test.
