CAT's
I really enjoyed reading the section on CAT’s.
I am going to try some of them in my classes
I am going to try the minute paper. Many of my students seem scared to write about their ideas on a topic; this seems like a good way to help them better articulate their ideas without the fear of a grade being assigned.
I am also going to try the punctuated lectures. I think it give the students a chance to reflect on what they are actually learning and why they are learning it.
Please let me know the outcome. I also found CAT's interesting, especially process analysis
This could be very interesting if utilized properly. For instance in teaching cost control, it will give insight to any prior knowledge the student has in addition to how best to teach the course. But as I have stated in previous posts the "Maturity" level of the student is critical, as well as the time constraints in conveying all of the required material.
