What is a good range of "just enough and on target asssessments" for a class?
I start each class with a short answer question over the material I covered from the last lesson. I allow the student to use their notes. I feel that this helps them review the material.
I agree with the weekly quizzes. That gives the student feedback on their weak points and they can use it as a study guide.
Hi Linda - Welcome to ED 103! Not exactly sure of your question but I will take a stab at it! I always use a weekly quiz (if a really accelerated class then a daily quiz) A mid-term exam and a final comprehensive exam. Of course depending on the course, projects, presentations, demos can, and often should, be included as assessments. Best wishes - Susan
