How do you round the cycle of learning in the classroom?

Making sure that each learning style is catered to in each class is critical. What teaching methods do you use to meet this goal?

ask my students what you learn today

Hi June- As an ex-debate team member and later debate coach, I love to watch and facilitate these exchanges! Your students will retain more by being part of these than if they merely listened to lecture. Susan

When I teach thesis/antithesis in in-seat classes, I have the students stand and represent a side of an issue (whether or not they agree with that side). Like role playing, it helps them to totally immerse themselves into the subject.

Discussion groups, outlining, role playing.

Hi Lisa - Thanks for your post to the forum. It isn't absolutely neccessary to teach to every style in every class. Our goal should be to do it as often as possible. In putting my lesson plans together, I just try to have visual aids and hands on as often as possible. Tkse planning but it pays off. Best wishes. Susan
