Testing
I have found that evaluative tests are key. A regurtation of material does not prove learning!

It is a joy and satisfaction when we teach in class and go to lab and perform their tasks. It does the heart good when you see what they have achieved.
Hi Hugo, I would first check to see if the students have any learning disabilities that would indicate the need for specialized testing. You can also incorporate assessments that are more skill based. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan

Testing has been one of a challenge due that I expect the student to know/learn the topics we have covered, but at the sane time I know there are students that are not good in writhing test takers because they do well in class participation. Not sure if I have to change the structure of my test.
Good point. Labs are a great evaluative tool. It definitely helps the instructors at my school to get true markers for where the students are at with the material.
at my school we evaluate the students both in a class evironment and a lab
