effective questions
What are some effective questions posed to students to help determine the effectiveness of a given instrcutor? In other words, which questions help their supervior get a true depiction of that instructor, without students who didn't simply didn't put the effort in, or just didn't get it, don't but all of the blame on the instrcutor?
I've always wondered if my students are really taking the evaluation of the course and me as an instructor seriously; being honest. As a student, I can honestly say there have been times I rushed through the evaluation but now as an instructor I really look forward to knowing how I did and how I can improve. I think I get more validation from the students personally saying to me in the halls after they've had my course "I used what you taught me". Now reading this question I think I would like to have a oral discussion with my students the last day on how they felt about the course, how I paced everything, communicated concepts, suggestions on how I can improve, etc.
Hi Rachael , Do you mean a survey of the quality of the instruction by a specific teacher?
