It is important to have your students feel important and creating a leadership team helps students feel they are important to their school.

I agree a leadership team makes the students feel important. Our students volunteer to be ambassadors. They wear special name-tags stating they are student ambassadors.
These volunteer students are for the students to go to with a general question about the school, tips or suggestions about any topic that may arise. They are peer resources for the students and are extremely helpful to the others who utilize them as their first contact.
They offer tips for school survival, study tips, time management and a reference to the people they need to be successful with their education and new career path.
