like or dislike true false.

I would prefer to only use true/false questions during assessments. I feel that getting a question wrong opens up the opportunity to learn from it. when its a simple true/false the correct answer is still out there and may not be able to be discussed

T/F Questions I feel are good because the reader really has to pay attention to the words, and how the question is worded, and therein lies the complexity of a good T/F question.
Yes the student may view it as a "simple" 50/50 shot at the correct answer, but if the student does not pay attention and gets a few wrong, it could be a the difference of pass or fail.

I respectfully disagree with you, I believe that a true or false platform limits the student thinking ability by not giving them options to expand on.

Guessing can be decreased by requiring students to correct any statements that they mark as being False.

I enjoy a bit of true false on a test but it needs to be definite questions that do not have the grey area.

T/F questions are more difficult because an answer could be right or wrong by one word. I use a few of them on exams because I think it makes you really think and in turn I believe attention to small details, such as one or two words will help students later in life.

I feel that there is merit in T/F questions. The ability to read, interpret and think about what the question is really asking is important. What I like to do is for the student to circle what makes it True of False, and then write the correct response, is a good way to assess mastery of the material.

I'm not a big fan off all true false test. I found that students will have three or four true answers in a row then automatically put a false answer because they think that it cant be right to have that many in a row.

I don't like true and false questions because it can be a small word that makes it false or true. Also students will just guess instead of thinking of the concepts.
