is it apropriate to tailor your tests for "challenged" students
Hi Sean - Thanks for a great question. If you mean to create special tests for the challenged students that are easier than those given to the other students, my answer is no- it is not fair. You could create tests for all the students that would have some easier questions to give those challenged students some feeling of success. Remediation, such as tutoring is important for those students and the possibility of learning disability might warrant special concessions such as additional time etc. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.
