I like the multiple choice test because I tell the students if they arent certian about the correct answer to eliminate the the answers that they are certian it isnt first. This way it narrows the field and they can weigh and access thier options more clearly.

Yes indeed, multiple-choice questions are easy to use and, therefore, it is widely used.
