Are any of our current testing methods a reliable guage of learning?
Since student are so varied in the way they learn, can we ever develop a testing scheme that will positively effect all of our students?
I really like this idea, I believe I can bring something new to the way I see my learners and the way they see themselves. Thanks for input, I'm gonna try this for our next quarter!
I teach at an audio technical school and we use 3 types of assessments. A weekly multiple choice test on the previous weeks lectures, hands on labs they work on at their own pace, and finally real time skills tests with time limits to assess practical application and integration of all materials. We feel we get a good feel of our students strengths and weaknesses this way.
