Types of Testing
At our University, I find the McGraw Hill tests quite challenging for the students. However, if a question was too hard, the instructor would not count that towards the student's grade.
I agree, Freda. I like to use a variety as well. I don't like the test from the book publishers because I would rather tailor my tests to the information I give them.
I think it is important to incorporate a variety of assessment techniques, not just written tests.
