i find that making the students comfortable with asking questions this will open the door for the studets that might be uncomfortable with speaking in public or afraid to ask the questions
I love when a student ask a question everyone else was afraid to ask. This opens the door for discussion about a topic that is probably more interesting than I, as an instructor, might not have considered to be as valuable as the students percieved it to be. Therefore enlightening me and the students with a fresh topic and new material.

Sometimes if they write their question down will work, and if after class they ask a question, bring it up the next session and praise the question from so and so, it will make them feel proud abaout their question.
