this is a great idea to implement & very true. If we are too forgiving of tardies in our classes, we are setting our students up for failure in the professional world.

At the very beginning of a program or course, I think it is very important to stress time management. Being on time for class is one example. Once people leave the classroom, being late will cost them! In school it may be a missed quiz or exam. On the job, it's money!

I have mixed feelings on this. There is a risk that you will only end up penalizing the other group members who are there on time but the late ones aren't, usually because they don't care. Although if you put all your late ones in the same group, that might send a message.
