Colors and mood
This module has some outstanding color choices and explanatation for the color and effects to the mood condusive to learning. Can anyone actually designed classes based on color scheme? If so, list some guidelines in doing this including lighting, etc.
I really enjoyed this section and learning to add variety in the classrooms.
I remember as a student myself, use of all these different methods. I really like the use of color and will have to focus on it. I first noticed the affect wall color had in the classroom when I was in college. My first time seeing a blue wall...I remember likeing it a lot and liking that particular classroom a lot better than some of the others which were more institutional in color. As a student, I also used colors to underline or highlight and without even noticing it, my colors were organizing the material to what was important and what was less important and what was just interesting.
When I get a chance, I will redoing a lot of my powerpoints. I think I will play around with color a lot more at that time.

There are lots of references for use of colour in various settings - there are a lot of references concerning use of primary colours in an elementary or preschool setting, I haven't seen much concerning the use of colour in a post secondary setting. I really appreciated the discussion concerning the use of lighting in the classroom and how better lighting facilitates learning. An important consideration for post secondary education is looking at lighting in a multigenerational classroom. It is a medical fact that as the eyes age, more and better lighting is needed. I recommend Brain Based Learning by Eric Jensen, it deals with all the concepts in this module
have found that useing colors though out lecture improves note taking
