music during projects

I use music when my students are doing their projects. Music that is not too harsh or too soothing, a nice classic rock, it seems to work.

I love using music during class projects as it really helps the students to relax and enjoy the experience. It also allows the student become more creative and develop more critical thinking ideas in environmental science.

I agree with Chopster, music works well during projects, it seems to comfort most.

Music tends to cut down on unrelated chatter and help students focus on the task at hand!

This definately works for me. Once my class is starting on projects, music seems to help them settle-in. Classic rock seems to be the right thing, even the youngsters that want Hip-hop or heavy metal at first seem to settle-in and dig on it while they're working.

You are absolutely correct on music relieving stress in the classroom, maybe direct your management team to this module. good luck.

I would love to use music in my class. I teach medical coding and when students really get into open study and are working on homework, I think it would help relieve the stress they are under. Now to just convince management!
