I do agree that color and light do enhance student learning. I use power point but never shut off the lights. if i am in a classroom that has windows I always open the blinds.

and be aware of the ease of the various colors on the eyes, etc. Something that is often overlooked.

Yes, used color in the power points...assumed that font had to be black or red...will try other colors but red background might insite violence...have used short musical interludes but could have a short video during the power point
We leave fill in the blanks in the power point and then print the power point (usually six slides on a page) and have the students fill in the blanks

I agree, color is a powerful thing. I use color on everything from powerpoint to the markers I use while writting on the white board.

I am the same way...like ppt but find that some students do not learn well that way because they want to sleep.
