COLORS THAT STIMULATE THINKING
I think colors can truly stimulate learners' mind because colors are first used for visual appealing then materials that are related to learning will be easily remembered in learners' mnemonics.
Vicki,
yes the different uses of color on handouts & tests can help some learners with distinguishing between sections & content.

Learning more about color and its influence in the classroom was very good for me as well as using music. It seems I have my presentations set up fairly well but I had not considered this with handouts and exams. Thanks for the tips. I will be sure to consider incorporating these methods in the classroom.
This is fascinating to me! I plan to update all of my powerpoint presentations with new color coding. I also read somewhere recently that use of different fonts forces people to pay attention as well. Apparently that's why so many menus are littered with changes in style, size and color.
colors can change the mood of any room and any situation. Color can be used to stimulate conversation, learning, and appetite.
Lawrence,
this is a great way to incorporate the colors in an easy & inexpensive way.

I like to review and cover what I call "what we learned yesterday" with a black marker on the dry-erase board but putting "key points" and such in red. For the list of the days' activities and test information it's always green.
Really interesting topic. This gave me a new way to think of using colors in the classroom. I have never considered the influence colors could make on learning. This has certainly increased my color awareness as to how it affects students.
