Classroom Issues

I teach at a fast paced college that works in 6 week terms. I can teach up to 4 classes each term, and I often am in a different room for each class (while other instructors also use those same 4 rooms). How are some ways to accomplish similar results to the tips that are recommended in this lesson?

Arlene,
you are so right & this way all are ensured a clean, neat learning environment.

We also share rooms with other instructors, we make it a point for the students, as well as instructors make sure we leave the classroom in the same manner it was in when we went into class. cummunication and common courtesy is key

Pete,
there are definitely challenges when we share the space with other instructors, but like you pointed out I think the clarity in expectations for all is key.

The challenge I've come across is when arriving to the classroom and it is not in the presentable state I left it in. I get together with the instructors teaching in the same class for the given term and come to an agreement on what the presentation of the room should be. For example I have round tables in my classroom. The students will wipe the tables down with alcohol wipes and stack the chairs, five per table, in two stacks facing the projection wall. This gives a sense of organization for both leaving and arriving learners.
