Magnets to reenforce materials

Usually when I hand students magnets in class, it forces them to come to the board and match the information. For instance, they need to know temperature and I give the a written diagnostic to do. Then I would give them the magnet activity so they are applying what they learned.

My students love playing with magnets when I am teaching how motors are made from simple magnetism.

This seems to apply more to an elementary school classroom then a college classroom; although the college level the students still enjoy receiving stickers on a job well done!
