Have Fun !
In the class or lab in my case I could make it hard on the students ,but I I find that you can have fun and get the Information out there and not make it HELL.
I believe the same thing if we have a little fun in class it relaxes the students and they learn more then if they are all up tight in class.

Don't park yourself in the front of the classroom. Move around the room continuously, and get in and around your students. Make frequent eye contact, and smile with students. Monitor students with your physical presence.
My class is is based on having fun with a structure to wwhere it does not get out of hand, but to have fun so that there is less stress and the student is more likely to retain information, as well as build confidence.

I am always amazed that students who make sure you know that they are bored are also the first to get excited when something fun is done in the class. They may not be the best students, but they are listening and learning. They might not even know it; they just think they are having fun.

I also feel that having fun in class takes away some of the mundane subjects. We as instructors/teachers need to have the interest in both the students and the subject matter.

Our attitude and body lanauge can help the student fell comfortable and learn better.
Instructors who make class fun show thier own excitement and interest in the subject. Teachers with this attitude about what they are teaching draw the students in. In addition, having fun holds the student's attention and increased thier engagement in the subject.
I agree if you have fun your sturdents are going to have fun. I don't like to come to work and not have fun so if my students come to school and have fun they well

I find that if the instructor has fun in what he teaches the students will have fun as well no matter if it is lab or lecture.
Students like immediate reinforcement for being correct. Our studentsw like candy when they get study reveiw questions correct.
Have done this over the years. Have really discovered that it is definitely the attention and recognition that is paramount.

This is a great idea. I think we need to be aware that some topics are not as interesting as others & finding ways to spice up these sections is definitely beneficial to our students.
