retention

what is the best way if you tech on block courses to cover past material, without reteaching subjects

Question
What if you are subbing a class and you introduce your teaching style and different materials on the subject but later learn that the students are behind in their work with only 2 weeks of class left?

Cece

I teach math, so everything builds on the previous topics. Its very easy to incorporate past info on current information. I do it for every topic I teach.

I try and review the previous material in the form of a game or puzzle. It seems the student's competetive nature comes out and exam scores go up.

i also agree....a review the last lesson objective before starting on any new objectives

I believe a teacher should always go over what was discussed the day before.

Just sort of recap from the the previous days subject.
