I agree with you. You are starting off on the positive side, which can evolk good memories from the start. Especially if you have not ever started this way. Although I believe most people/instructors do start this way. So it's good to check your attitude and thought processes before you encounter students.

i take every opportunity to remind the students how much knowledge they have already gained, this helps them to uinderstand how far they have come and that they have the capacity to be successful if they choose to be
