Use of memory
I have found that the use of applying what is learned to what has already been instilled is quite effective in the use of memory in learning.
The use of videos explaining a procedure or a mechanisms really help my student as well as real-life case studies.
i do too. i find that if you only present material for one type of leaner you get lower retention of information from the group as a whole. i use information chunking technics along with visual to help make things more memorable for the students.
I try to use audio, visual and physical to help out in the classroom.
This is true in all aspects , some thing learned and applied will stick to our mind longer
Altrovise,
you make an excellent point here. By connecting the abstract concepts to real life examples or application our students typically will remember the concepts better.

people have different mnemonic devices. Some like numbers, some have visual memory, some have "muscular" memory. Listen your student. Their expressions are keys for their memory
