Evaluation

I have implemented these exercisie in my class establishing the students level of learning or the previous instructors had already informed me about certain students.
I will aslo do an evaluation of the students,. I am teaching anatomy and physiology.
Students may not be able to grasp this module effectively, it takes time for this course.
Students that come to me are from front office and it may take awhile for some of the students to adapt to this module.
I play games to enhance their learning capablities and learning with the medical challenge. It seems to work.

I teach pharmacy technicians and totally agree. I have found simulation lab assesment for understanding and retention is not just helpful, but necessary. Our classes are thoery until the student is in the field applying it, the only way to turn the theory to actual experience is to simulate the different aspects we teach.

I prefer simulation to evaluate student comprehension of subject matter. In healthcare, simulation is the closest a will get to a real life clinical experience.

Andrea,
this is a good idea & as you said in an area where the students may not see the relevance or importance it is important to help them connect with the information.

Ryan Meers, Ph.D.

I teach grammar and writing. I've been trying to find ways to make my subject more accessible to career college students, who mostly don't see the importance of knowing parts of speech. I like the idea of presenting the information in some form of game.
