Repetition

Repetition is an extremely effective tool that we have at our disposal. Repetition will help anchor concepts in student brains.

Repetition is the most effective tool we can use as instructors. To relate and incorporate previously discussed information and bring into new information, we not only repeat, we reenforce learning.

I absolutely agree! In my French course, as with learning any foreign language, I find repetition to be the most crucial aspect of the learning process. Not only do I encourage verbal repetition (where I teach the correct pronunciation then have students repeat, then practice on their own), but also written repetition in order to master spelling and accent marks. There's a lot of truth to the old saying "practice makes perfect" and I find this to be especially true in the classroom.

Yes, I also use repetition let students know that what I have just said is important enough to remember or take note of. Sometimes I'll repeat the same phrase with emphasis on certain words or with different vocal inflection to envoke thought about what has just been said.

Repetition and word games. I do little plays on words and concepts to help my students remember.

I agree repetition is perhaps the the best concept that they need to hear from us.

i agree repetition is a way to grasp a hard subject "practice makes perfect" concept

I have encouraged students by sheer repetition that they will remember the concept that now they repeat the keyword-repetition

Greetings Steven!

repetition is very important for students. We can not assume that student will remember something that has been explain once or twice, most of the time it is not the case.

I agree if students can egt comfortable with a subject it comes as second nature. I coach football and the same concept applies repetition gains confidence.

Repetition is an effective method to help students retain the information. During medical terminology, I pronounce the medical term, students repeat the term and then provide the meaning.

I teach a lot of software classes in which students are required to learn keyboard shortcuts. What I will do is when I use one of these shortcuts in my lesson, even if its multiple times, I will repeat the password over and over. Since I started doing that, my quiz grades have skyrocketed.

Greeting Luis!

Yes, I can still remember how many times I did multiplication tables!!!!
