I feel that as an Instructor you must engage the class by content, movement and enthusiasm.
I think that it is important to move about the class, not only to keep srudeents on there toes, but to keep them from being distracted from other things,
I agree,It assists with raising the energy level of the classroom environment and helps students focus by being required to shift attentions around the room
Hi Chris!
Absolutely! Moving around also encourages the instructor to reenforce the positive because they are in closer proximity to students.
Keep up the good work!

I feel moving around the room helps keep some student attentive and focused on the subject. Rather than just looking forward, they are forced to at least redirect the listening ability to where you are.
Absolutely James!
Students' feel like are important to the learning process.

Moving around the classroom keeps the students active and helps me remain on point. Sitting behind the desk or standing behind a lecturn would be boring for me and for the students. They need to connect with me on our topics. I often find out if someone is having trouble when I "float." The student may not want to speak up but when I stand behind them I can see if they have attempted the work or not. This allows me to jump in and help them work out the project without causing them undue stress.
It assists with raising the energy level of the classroom environment and helps students focus by being required to shift attentions around the room. I have found that it is also important not to walk and talk too much or too fast, because it will have the opposite of the desired effect.
Its important to move around,so students can stay engaged into the lecture, it also keeps the students attention. It also gives the students more confident in you as an instructor, because you are not at the desk reading from papers.
