locating myself in the classroom
Yes, I have found myself too static at times. Once I began to move around more I saw a marked improvement in the students attention.
I find that in a classroom full of computers and internet access, walking around keeps the students of the web browsers and in the classroom!
I find moving around the room benefits myself as well as the students. As discussed it helps every student feel like part of the lecture, it also helps me focus and gives me time to gather my thoughts.

I did not realized how important it is in maintaining students' interest in the subject matter beeing taught. I am looking forward to trying this method as a new strategy.
I have the opposite problem. Sometimes I catch myself moving too much. Sometimes this leads to a lag in my presentations as I return to the board for the next example. I use this time to ask probing questions to see how many other students may be having the same/similar problem.
